Turn a supplier Excel file into a Shopify CSV.
A spreadsheet is a starting point, not an import-ready catalogue. Catalog Ready helps you check the structure, map supplier columns and correct missing or ambiguous values before preparing new draft products.
Start with a free diagnosis →What this converter actually does
Upload a CSV or XLSX file. For a workbook with multiple sheets, choose the product sheet. The application reads the selected data and suggests column matches; you confirm what each supplier column means or explicitly ignore it.
The checker flags missing prices, malformed values, inconsistent product groups and duplicate variant combinations. You can edit the original values, exclude an unwanted row and revalidate the file. The preview shows a limited sample; the downloadable report records the changes.
Four steps from spreadsheet to catalogue
- Upload: select CSV or XLSX, up to 10 MiB, 5,000 rows and 100 columns.
- Map: associate title, price, SKU and other supported fields. Choose single products or explicit parent-based variants.
- Review: check the number format, missing data, warnings and proposed corrections.
- Export: download a Shopify CSV, an Excel report or a ZIP after payment activation. The synthetic demo can be downloaded for free now.
Structured catalogue data is additionally limited to 1.5 MiB. A workbook with very long descriptions may need to be split even if the source file is smaller than 10 MiB.
Why price formatting needs a decision
A supplier may write 19,90 while the import output needs a non-localized decimal value. Select the source number format and check the converted preview. The application does not infer exchange rates, invent a missing price or automatically turn a negative value into a positive one.
Keep SKUs and barcodes as text when preparing the spreadsheet. If Excel has already removed leading zeros from a numeric identifier, the checker can flag the risk but cannot reliably restore the original identifier.
Know the boundaries
This version prepares new products in draft. It does not connect to Shopify, publish products or safely update existing variants. PDF catalogues, macros, formulas used as values, multi-location stock exports, markets and metafields are outside this workflow.
Review the output and test a small batch in a development store. File checks cannot detect collisions with products already present in a store or guarantee that every store-specific setting will accept the import.
Free diagnosis. One-off exports.
The planned price is €5 per catalogue, with no subscription. Checkout is currently disabled while seller and Stripe configuration are completed. You can already upload a file, inspect the diagnosis and try all download formats with the synthetic demo.
